presentation evening
Wednesday 12 September 2007 - 7.00pm - the presentation
evening for the money raised on behalf of our charities was a great success.
A large number of the Red Pouches were there to enjoy the evening, and to
provide further support to the charities.
The
evening included guided tours of the Mail Centre operation which everyone
found very informative, and a buffet for visitors and cyclists alike.
We had
representatives from East Anglia Children's Hospice, Arthur Rank House
Hospice, and STARS, a local charity providing bereavement counselling for
children. Unfortunately, Breakthrough Breast Cancer were unable to attend,
but did send a message of thanks.
A great big thank you
to Alan Baldock who is very much the inspiration behind the Red Pouches. His
tireless effort and commitment is a wonder to us all, and he remains the top
role model for all of the team.
Here
are some highlights from the evening.
